  1. Change your meals

“I used to eat out 6 times per week. I tried cutting down to once every week and picking dishes with lots of green vegetables instead of fatty ones. I also limited my carbohydrate intake. I used to eat 2-3 bowls of rice. Now, I’m down to 1 bowl/meal and I increase my intake of vegetables and protein as well. As a result, I got rid of 2kg just within 1 month,” said Mr. Truong Minh who lives in District 3, HCMC.

 Ms. Minh Thao, an office worker in District 1, HCMC shared her experience: “I reached my weight loss goal after I stopped munching on snacks and other salty foods. “I try to do some gentle exercises anytime I can. It may be some dancing while I clean my dishes or other exercises while I’m lying down and watching TV. This helps my body burn calories and keeps me from stuffing my mouth with snacks in front of my TV. Now, my body is more toned and I can wear clothes in a smaller size”. This is the weight loss secret of Mr. Nguyen Quang Nam, a 40-year-old man living in Hai Phong. He shared: “I quit smoking and tried to hit the gym to start working out with a personal trainer. “When sorting out the food in my house, I intentionally changed high-calorie foods with lower-calorie alternatives such as nuts or cereals.” Ms. Yen Nhi (30 years old) believes that’s how she got thinner.

“After work, my co-workers and I used to eat fast food for dinner. After that, I changed everything. Instead of eating fatty foods late, I switched to vegetables and fruits, then taking a walk or a run around the neighborhood. One year later, I lost 12kg”, said Mr. Nguyen Phuc Quang.

“I’ve been adding vegetables to my favorite foods such as pizzas or fried chickens and prioritize vegetables while eating. As a result, I’m always full before getting to any calorie-packed foods such as potato fries. Thanks to this, my clothes are 4 sizes smaller now,” revealed Mr. Hieu Nghia.

Many people think that’s not a lot. However, diet regimes or pills which give you diarrhea just cause temporary water loss. It’s not safe and your weight will come back soon.
